I would be ok with it if his five hole wasn't the size of the grand canyon. And even though gibson looks strong now, he needs to play more in the ahl. Anderson should be the backup |

You kinda have to see what is out there for him. Personally to me it might make more sense holding onto him til x-mas.
The market is going to be flooded and it might be worth while to wait until those cheaper options fail for teams. |

I think Ducks have to move one of Fasth or Hiller...either could bring a decent return.
That said, as someone else mentioned, with Lu and Miller for sure on the market, there are goalies available over the summer so price tag might not be as high now as it could be closer to Xmas or trade deadline. |

Fasth won't be the one moved. The price for Lu and Miller will be high enough to knock several teams out of the running. Those teams may be interested in a mid-level replacement such as Hiller. |

How is he in regards to his vertigo? Did they get that figured out to a point that he can play consistently? |

He played last season vertigo symptom free. |

I think he could fetch a healthy return. As others have said, the goalie market is pretty saturated though. I would say he is younger than most the other options out there, and that may be the kicker for a team looking for a goalie to build around. Buffalo? (obviously not in exchange for Miller though). |

That's good. Not just for trading him, but just for him in general. |

Gibson has been impressive, but now needs to prove himself at the professional level. A year in Norfolk is critical to his development. Frederik Andersen is too good to spend another year in the AHL, and the Ducks need to move him out to make room for Gibson. I think there is a 50-50 chance that Hiller gets moved at the draft to a team that can't afford or doesn't feel the need to pay for Miller or Lu. Fasth becomes the starter with Andersen, not Gibson, as the backup. If not, then Andersen becomes the odd man out and either gets traded or goes back to Europe because I don't think he came to the states to be John Gibson's backup in Norfolk.
The only wild card in this is that Fasth has never played an 80-game season. He finished this year with a 'lower body' injury which left him at 80% and not a real option for the playoffs. Can he be healthy and reliable through an 80-game NHL schedule? I think it's unlikely that the Ducks will re-sign Hiller, and they won't let him walk away for nothing. Best value will probably come at the draft. It's a nice problem to have. |

It all depends on what we can get. What can Stevie Y send us? We could sure use a good 1 or 2 defenseman. But who's willing to give that up for Hiller on a one-year deal? If we can't get a significant return I think we have to keep him for a while. |

I think it's a forgone conclusion that Murray tries to move him at the draft, mainly because Anaheim will need the cap space. I don't think the return will be equal but if Anaheim could get a decent defenseman out of the deal I would be happy.
However, as another poster stated Anaheim does need a top tier D-man. What do you think a package of Jonas Hiller AND Bobby Ryan would bring back? That I bet would get some GM's talking. |

Additionally, how can anybody ignore what John Gibson is doing? The 19-year-old led the United States to a gold medal in the 2013 World Junior Champions before backstopping the U.S. to its first medal (bronze) at the IIHF Word Championships since 2004 against real NHL players. He is the worlds best goalie prospect and he belongs to the Ducks. This is good news people.
How is this good news? I mean, really, how could this in any universe possibly be considered good news!?
Oh, good news for you guys?
Frank! |

I could possibly see some teams having interest in Hiller. Tampa Bay, NYI, Florida, New Jersey, and Buffalo are probably the only teams who would be interested in a goalie. I guess it all depends where Miller and Luongo land. I could see Florida and NJ standing pat for another year if they don't get the guy they want. |

I think Miller's price will be high, but no way Luongo's will be. Unless you meant salary/cap hit.
I think NYI or NJ make a lot of sense for Anaheim to deal Hiller to. |

The Islanders would be great to trade with since NJ doesn't have much that we need. But who knows, with all of these young guys coming in we could be the next edmonton oilers. |

If you do lets hope you get more than what you received for Bryz. Fasth looks like he can hold the fort until the rookie is ready. |

NYI would love to take on Hiller. NYI and ANA have a good recent trade history...see: Visnovsky, Wisnewski...
Not sure what Hiller would be worth from the NYI end though, the 1 year left thing would decrease his value a bit because he could walk after 2013-14. |

Steve Palumbo: Should the Anaheim Ducks Consider Moving Jonas Hiller? ` - Steve Palumbo
If the Flyers buy out Bryzgalov, Hiller in a tandem with Mason would be a good thing. I am thinking a 60/40 or 70/30 split of all matches in a season. What do you guys think the price will be?
Also, if we could get Bobbarh Ryab!!! I would go into a season-long period of salivating. :-P odd of him being traded? And at what cost?
This of course does not solve Phillys real problem, but would just make it more awesome. :-P |

Don't recall who it was but a good source said on Twitter that Thomas would definitely not be playing in the NHL next season.. perhaps Mirtle? |
